Marc Epitaux, Andrew Daiber

Marc Epitaux is currently a Principal Engineer at Intel’s DEG Architecture and Planning (
Newark
,
CA
), leading advanced optical packaging development. Marc holds a MS in micro-engineering from the EPFL in
Lausanne
. He was an early member of LightLogic, Inc., an optical packaging and transponder startup which was acquired by Intel in 2001. Prior to joining LightLogic he worked as a researcher assistant at
Stanford
Medical
School
and at the EPFL in a surgical robotics laboratory. His current interests include MOEMS and high speed packaging for optical communication technology. Mr. Epitaux has been awarded 10
US
patents and also published 16 papers in the fields of fiber optics packaging and surgical robotics.
Andrew Daiber is an Intel Principal Engineer focused on DWDM telecommunication products. He has a BSME from
Cornell
University
and MSEE from
Stanford
University
and has 15 years of industrial experience and over 21 patents in the fields of displays, optical storage, and optical communications.
